Amazing Article – Why Do Kids Like To Watch Cartoons
Cartoons – Do you agree that most of our kids are involved in this activity?
They like to watch for a long time. I think it is because the entire new world is a harsh reality and a disappointment to them and cartoons actually raise them out of misery. JUST KIDDING……It has been scientifically proven that visual stimuli keep one more focused than without it. When a child enjoys watching something, he/she tends to want to do that particular activity more often.

Let’s go back in time and recall those carefree days of our childhood. Childhood days are full of imagination and dreams. To have fun kids indulge in different activities like playing, drawing and even fighting with their siblings. Above all these fun activities kids love to watch cartoons. It becomes really tough to move them from their seats while they are watching their favorite cartoons.
My daughter is two and a half years old and her fondness for cartoons is growing day be a day. After watching her favorite cartoons like Doraemon, Micky Mouse & Tome and Jerry, She narrates the stories to me, explains the character and even forces me to sit with her to watch them. While watching she neither cries nor asks for anything as she is so engrossed in them. But the question is this that why do almost kids love so much? Cartoons are just like kids, narrate innocent stories. These have nothing to do with the hardships of real life. Cartoons create the world to which kids can relate to.
In spite of all these things, cartoons always have a happy ending, unlike movies or serials.
Despite all these reasons, kids and cartoons are inseparable, so keep enjoying your favorite show. Cartoons are without a doubt the most entertaining aspect of childhood. I remember waiting for the glimpse of cartoons that would come on TV at upon 4:00 PM for few minutes only. I have grown up watching cartoons like Pink Panther and Tom & Jerry. They were less violent and more entertaining. On the brighter side, there are more educationally orienting cartoon programs like Dora. It is surprising to know that now it is actually the mildest of cartoons that can harm children’s growth process. I see children imitating the violent gestures and repeating vocabulary from Ben 10 & Doraemon.
It is our responsibility to ensure that the content of what our child is watching is supportive and contributing to their healthy state of mind. It is only for us to protect them from the negative impact of the cartoon media because progressive children will only lead to a progressive future.
